Rose Law Firm successfully defended Everett Ford, Inc. following a five-day trial in Pulaski County Circuit Court. Everett Ford is part of the Everett Automotive Group, a family-owned business that has operated in Central and Northwest Arkansas for over 20 years.
Pursuant to a contractual right of first refusal, Ford Motor Company assigned its right to purchase a Ford dealership in Benton, Arkansas, to Everett Ford in 2019. Upset with Ford’s decision, a competing dealership filed a lawsuit against Everett Ford, alleging tortious interference with contractual relationship and civil conspiracy. Separate claims were also filed by the competing dealership against Ford Motor Company.
The Pulaski County Circuit Court, in a directed verdict ruling, sided with Everett Ford and dismissed all claims against it. After years of discovery, depositions, and extensive legal research in support of various defenses, the Court’s ruling demonstrates the importance of strategic and effective legal representation.
